The award, established for the first time in 2017, is dedicated to a category of sustainable tourism, cycle tourism, already strongly present in Northern Europe and rapidly growing in Italy and also in Sicily in recent years.
In the last years, the Scicli Albergo Diffuso has hosted the participants in the Granfondo Città di Scicli and their families and the famous Janus River, the 82-year-old Polish cyclist who has been traveling the world by bike since 2000; finally, for almost two years, thanks to the collaboration with various tour operators, cyclists from Northern Europe and Americans have been discovering this corner of Sicily and Scicli in particular.
